In the Administration environment all the permissions of the roles granted will be managed, both in the Workspace and in the channels.
To access this environment, you must position yourself in a topic of any channel and click on the wheel shown on the right side of the screen:
Once inside, the Workspace, Channel and Theme options will be displayed.
According to the permissions defined in the roles, the agent will be able to edit, delete, disable or unsubscribe users in this environment.
In addition, the translations of the Workspace can be configured here for those agents and users that work with ServiceTonic in a different language.
And also here we can activate or deactivate the Workspace where the agent is located:
This box will be visible if the agent role has the "Close" permission checked.
The "Services and Roles" tab is where you specify which service or services this Workspace will be linked to and define the permissions by the roles that the agents who subscribe to the Workspace will have.
In the "Users" drop-down list, you can consult the users who have subscribed to the Workspace, as well as unsubscribe those agents or users who should no longer be part of it.
To unsubscribe users, it is necessary to have a role that has a permission allowing it.
Finally, the last option, "All Workspaces" shows all the spaces to which the session agent is subscribed. Both active and non-active spaces are shown here. When you click on one of them, the application is redirected to the Global channel and General theme of that Workspace.
Following ForumTonic’s philosophy, the elements of this window will depend on the permissions of the logged-in agent.
Thus, if the role has the possibility to Close Channels, the box "Active" will be shown, you will only have to deactivate it so that the Channel is no longer visible in the Workspace menu.
If you do not have a role that has the necessary permissions, the content of this window will vary. These permissions will be given by the agent who created the channel in this tab.
For example, if the agent that created the channel does not grant permissions, the agents subscribed to this channel will only be able to consult which users are part of these and which other channels they have subscribed to.
The channel creator agent must first define whether it is an open or private channel and then, if it is an open channel, define the permissions in the services linked to the Workspace:
In the "Users" tab, you can consult the agents and users already subscribed to that channel.
Finally, the "All channels" drop-down list shows the channels linked to that Workspace whether they are active or not. If you decide to click on one of these channels, ServiceTonic sends the agent to the General topic of that channel.
From this tab it is possible to access the values of the topic from which you have accessed the Administration environment.
As in the cases already seen, depending on the permissions granted to the agent role from the Channel part, the user will be able to delete the topic, edit it, deactivate it...
The General topic, generated by ServiceTonic when a Channel is created, cannot be deleted, as Channels need at least one theme to be functional.
The Enabled box indicates whether that topic is active for agents or users. If it is not visible, it is because the role of the logged-in agent does not have this permission. If it is deactivated, the agents that previously had access to it, no longer have it, but this option does not eliminate it, only makes it not visible.
Finally, the "All the topics" drop-down list shows all the topics linked to this channel, whether they are active or not.
